Magical tales at the People’s Theatre
Hot off the back of a very successful 2013, the Peoples Theatre have an exciting year planned for 2014.

From classic Disney favourites to tales from the master of fables, there is something to keep children both young and old amused and entertained.
The new year kicks off with Disney’s Alice in Wonderland for the March and April school holidays, and another Disney classic, Pinocchio, mid-year. The September and October season sees Hans Christian Andersen’s tales brought to life, followed closely by Disney’s Beauty and the Beast for the year-end finale.
Alice In Wonderland
From March 3 to April 20, join Alice’s madcap adventures as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game. Meet the Cheshire Cat and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters. Alice in Wonderland is a fast-paced stage adaption full of interactions.
Pinocchio
Pinocchio, the little wooden puppet who after a series of adventures is magically brought to life by the Blue Fairy, must show that he is brave, honest and unselfish before he can become a real boy. This story is filled with a mixture of magic, suspense, fun and excitement and runs from May 19 to August 10.
Hans Christian Andersen’s Tales
Thumbelina, The Princess and the Pea, The Snow Queen, The Tinder box, The Ugly Duckling – will be on stage from September 1 to October 5. The audience will be involved in every aspect.
Beauty And The Beast
The year ends off with Beauty and the Beast, the story of a beautiful girl’s father who picks a rose from the Beast’s garden and gets caught. He promises to send his daughter to the Beast, and the two fall in love. This beloved fairy tale about different people finding strength in one another is filled with spectacular costumes and sets. It runs from November 3 to December 24.
