Lindsay Lohan is many things – but say what you want about the freckled actress, she is clawing her way back out of the tabloid pit with gusto.
The 32-year-old has established herself as a mini-mogul with her Lohan-branded clubs, putting her years of club-hopping to good use to create unique experiences for visitors to her clubs.
Her latest club in Mykonos, Greece, is essentially everything Fyre festival should have been – beautiful people mingling on sandy beaches next to a crystal-clear ocean.
But the series is not built around Lohan, it’s built around the gorgeous servers who become reality TV archetypes as they learn to live together in paradise and work for Lohan, now a self-proclaimed boss bitch.
That’s the greatest success of the show because it’s not Lohan in the centre of the drama, but beach club staff. It’s the kind of shift that you cannot help but watch. Expect sex, six packs, fights and bikini-clad riffs.
The show’s global release was on the heels of MTV’s fifth consecutive quarter of primetime growth, its best streak in seven years.
In tonight’s first episode, you will be introduced to new hosts flying out to Greece to join Lohan as she builds her empire.
The first episode airs on MTV Africa (DStv 130) tonight at 9.30pm.
