The a live-streamed event on November 3 will honour the artists and songs that viewers have turned into hits over the past year. On October 17 the nominees will be announced, drawn from a pool of artists and videos watched, shared, and loved the most over the past year, according to YouTube’s blog.
In the days leading up to the awards, nominees will share official music videos, covers, parodies, concerts, interviews and fan videos on YouTube.
Famous artists will join some of YouTube’s biggest stars including Lindsey Stirling and CDZA in performances and musical collaborations from Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio, culminating in a live event in New York City.
