Although his long-awaited Jesus is King album has not arrived yet, Kanye West announced that he plans to release a new album on Christmas Day.
“Sunday Service album, Jesus is Born, on Christmas is coming,” West elusively told New Zealand radio DJ Zane Lowe during a two-hour sit-down on Beats 1.
The musician did not further elaborate on the forthcoming project, which led fans to speculate whether it would be a live album culled from his Sunday Service performances or a tenth studio album of new material.
In addition to the rumoured Jesus is Born, West opened up about a litany of topics that included his plans to run as a candidate for the 2024 American presidential election and his ongoing rivalry with Canadian rapper Drake.

However, he did not address the multiple delays of his ninth studio album, Jesus is King, which is supposed to arrive this Friday, October 25.
As Billboard pointed out, Zane Lowe mentioned that West commented at various times in the interview that he was still adding the final touches to the full-length.
After sharing the official tracklist on Twitter, the rapper announced that he was currently fixing mixes on three songs from Jesus is King, namely Everything We Need, Follow God and Water.
“We not going to sleep until this album is out!” he added without revealing at what time the project will arrive.

Despite the multiple delays, physical versions of the album are still for sale on West’s official website. The project is also available for pre-save on various streaming platforms.
Given the musician’s prior release history, fans are wondering whether Jesus is King will join the long list of West’s long-teased but ultimately unreleased albums, alongside Watch The Throne 2, Yeezus 2, Good Ass Job, Yandhi, Cruel Winter and more.
