American RnB artist John Legend on Tuesday morning announced he will grace South Africans for a three-city Darkness and Light tour in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, in November.
The All of Me hit maker will perform at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on November 3 and November 4, then the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on November 7 and closes off his tour at the GrandWest Grand Arena in Cape Town on November 9 and November 10.
Tickets will go on sale from August 25 through Big Concerts and Computicket.
“Tour isn’t done yet – South Africa I’m coming to you too! Tickets for my 5 shows go on sale August 25th at 9AM local time, be sure to grab yours. Ticket link in bio,” said the Grammy award-winning artist.
His announcement has received positive comments from South Africans who said they could not wait to jam to his beautiful music.
“Gotta be there on the 3rd…..it is my birthday……I need to see me some John Legend,” wrote one of his followers.
Even EFF national spokesperson and the people’s bae Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi was pleased John Legend was coming to South Africa. The singer made his first visit three years ago.
Ndlozi said John Legend respected South Africa, unlike other USA artists who treated the country like their retirement home.
“This man respects South Africa. Lots of USA artists only come to the continent at the end of their careers with no new music,” he said.
