Jimmy Carr confirmed for SA tour

Comedy superstar Jimmy Carr has confirmed dates for a series of shows in South Africa.

The edgy stand-up king is scheduled to perform in Johannesburg on the 29 March at Carnival City, 30 March at Cape Town’s Grand Arena and 31 March at the Durban ICC Arena.

Carr, whose one-liners include the likes of, “When you eat a lot of spicy food, you can lose your taste… When I was in India last summer, I was listening to a lot of Michael Bolton,” has won multiple awards for his shows including British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand Up Tour, a Loaded LAFTA Award for Best Stand-Up and a Perrier Award nomination.

Announcing the tour a statement on the Real Concerts website said, “Following another stellar year for Jimmy, which saw him host 10 O’Clock Live, two new series of 8 Out Of 10 Cats and record his eighth live stand-up DVD, Laughing and Joking, Jimmy returns to South Africa with his brand new tour, Gagging Order.

Having now played to over 1.5 million people on his live tours Jimmy knows a thing or two about making people laugh.

“Gagging Order” promises to be an hilarious night out. The show will be packed with one-liners, stories and jokes. Some clever, some rude and a few totally unacceptable.”
