Mabala Noise boss Reggie spent over R60k on wedding cake

Mabala Noise founder and ANCYL treasurer said his I Do’s to the love of his life, Beauty Matela, this past weekend.

The couple tied the knot at a lavish exclusive venue in Umzinto on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast, where guests were welcomed with canapés and cocktails.

More than 300 people attended the wedding ceremony, including Public Service and Administation Minister Faith Muthambi, businessman Thembinkosi Nciza and Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi.

The couple exchanged vows they wrote themselves.

“I take you, Beauty, to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have you, respect, love, and make you happy. In all of our life together to be all together and be loyal together as long as we shall live,” Nkabinde promised.

Matela responded: “I’ll support you, cherish you for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, in our life together to be loyal to you with my heart, as long we shall live until death do us part.”

Thereafter, guests enjoyed a four-course dinner, including smoked chicken medallions marinated in sun-dried tomato pesto, Norwegian salmon served with grilled seasonal vegetables on sushi rice and a duo of chocolate and vanilla mousse in shooter glasses.

Their cake which was a stunner cost over R60 000 and under R100 000.

“Beauty came to us with a picture that showed the vision she had for the cake. It had a lot of interesting elements, which we were going to elaborate on. The architectural structure in that picture was similar to a castle, it had gold elements that made it elegant and flowers that completed the her vision of the beautiful cake,” Sasha Naidoo, the maker of the cake told Tshisa LIVE.
