Idols SA set to entertain with the ’90s vs today’ theme

Idols SA is almost halfway through the top 10, and only six contestants will be left standing in tonight's show.


All the Top 7 contestants were born in the nineties hence the theme tonight is “The 90’s vs Today”, with each contestant performing a classic 1990’s hit and a hit from the world’s current music charts.

Here is what the Top 6 has chosen to perform:

Amanda Antony who was born in 1993, chose Mary J Blige’s I’m Goin’ Down and Sia’s Big Girls Cry.

Dineo Moseki also a 1993 baby chose Lauryn Hill’s Ex-Factor and Beatenberg’s Rafael.

Karabo Mogane who was born in 1991 chose Boys II Men’s Water Runs Dry and Hozier’s Someone New.

Loyiso Gijana who was born in 1999 chose a Boyz II Men’s It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday and Hold Back The River, by James Bay.

Mmatema Moremi was born in 1992 and she chose Deborah Cox’s Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here and Jess Glynne’s hit, Hold My Hand.

Rhema Varrie was born in 1994 and chose Radiohead’s High And Dry and One Republic’s Counting Stars.

Siphelele Ngcobo was born in 1991 and chose All 4 One hit I Can Love You Like That and Nathi’s Nomvula.
