Hermes joins forces with KZN art studio
International fashion house Hermès has partnered up with a South African art studio called Ardmore Ceramics to create a collection of scarves.

The French-based fashion label will launch a new collection entitled La Marche du Zambèze.
The ceramics’ company’s work has appeared in jewellers’ Charles Craig stores but has now gone international. Translated the collection means walking in the Zambezi and the scarves feature vivid imagery of animals, plants and flowers depicting Southern Africa. The 36 X 36 inch 100% pure silk scarves which are priced at $395 (R6500) are described on the Hermes site as a collective of Zulu, Zimbabwean and Sotho artisan potters, founded by Fée Halsted in 1985, in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.
