Guptas also ‘invited’ Trevor Noah

Through Twitter hashtags, they gather to make fun of serious issues.

The Gupta saga, being the talk of town, is not an exception. The controversial family fell prey to one of South Africa’s best comedians and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, who jokingly said he was invited by the Guptas to offer him a position at the Daily Show.

The hilarious tweet was followed by a series of other tweets of people jokingly claiming to have been invited by the Guptas for job offers. One person tweeted that the Guptas approached Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela to offer him a job at Orlando Pirates.

Another hashtag trending after the Gupta scandal is #ReplaceASongTitleWithGupta, where tweeps replace part of the song title with “Gupta”.
