Shortly after the launch of their new Melville location, the Goliath Comedy Club has revealed that their five-year-old Melrose Arch location will be closing on May 5.
The announcement was made on the location’s Facebook page and no reasons have been given as to why this is happening.
Surprisingly, fans seemed sadder about no longer having their favourite items on the Roast Cafe menu.
Since it first opened its doors in 2014, the likes of Trevor Noah, David Kau, Basket Mouth, Loyiso Gola, and Ntosh Madlingozi have graced the club’s stage.
They went on to open two more locations in Melville and Braamfontein but only the Melville location remains as the Braamfontein location is now known as The Comedy Basement, owned by fellow comedian Sifiso Nene.
