Florence Masebe speaks of racism on set

Popular actress Florence Masebe has exposed an alleged racist on the set of the new Mzansi Magic drama series, Ring of Lies.
The multi-award winning actress and fellow actor Mpho Sebeng took to twitter to reveal what happened on set, leaving fans shocked and resulting in a flood of replies from their social media followers.
Florence Masebe wrote: “Racism is out here dancing on our set.” She later tweeted: “Shall I tweet about the horrible incident that we’ve just experienced on set?” She further tweeted the crew member in question said: ‘I can speak to you any way I like because I’m white’. This is what a crew member just said to our director who is a black man.”
Mpho then added: “Shall we continue? @FloMasebe @Mzansimagic.”

Allegedly trying to defend herself, the crew member reacted. She tweeted: “@FloMasebe this is an incorrect quote and tantamount to character defamation,” adding: “@YoBoiLuse @FloMasebe @Mzansimagic. I said this to the director: ‘You don’t understand my tone, maybe because I am white…’”
According to reports, M-Net’s head of Public Relations for local entertainment channels, Nondumiso Mabece, has been in contact with the cast and Penguin Films and explains that an investigation on the matter is being is under way.
