Eighties music fans will fondly remember this quirky and innovative band and their huge hits Safety Dance and Pop Goes the World. Their high-energy show features favourites as well as material from their 2012 album Love In The Age of War.

After rave reviews of the second annual festival in October 2012, Mieliepop is fast becoming the festival goers’ quintessential escape from reality. Just two and a half hours from Johannesburg at the magical Tolderia Resort (Mpumalanga), Mieliepop is a festival experience tucked away safely from the hustle and bustle of city living.

Mieliepop set out to create a festival with a unique approach – a boutique festival where the scenery is breath-taking, the musicians are genuinely talented and the tickets are limited.

“We really create a relaxed festival environment where there are no queues, clean ablutions for all and an environment where music lovers can really just kick-back, relax and enjoy some of the best music in South Africa,” say the organisers.

The 2013 edition of Mieliepop festival promises not to disappoint with the likes of local favourites, including Albert Frost, Shawn Phillips, Crystal Park, Naming James, Kinky Robot, G Force, Valiant Swart, Riders From The Storm, Radio Kalahari Orkes, Nakhane Toure, Jonny Guy and many others.
