Fed-up Generations actress tells Vundla to shove it

The animosity between Vundla and his cast was ignited earlier this month when he would neither give in to their demands for a wage increase nor accede to their requests for three-year contracts.

Anonymous sources at the time claimed that the trouble started after acting SABC chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng announced during the show’s recent birthday celebrations that the broadcaster had signed a three-year contract with Vundla’s Morula Pictures for the first time ever.

This created an immediate assumption by the cast that they would also be signing contracts for three years, but Vundla has refused to do so, arguing that such a move would render him powerless to take action against cast members he feels are giving sub-standard performances.

Both parties have been resolute in their refusal to back down, but the Sunday Sun reports that a fed-up Benedict has “told Mfundi to shove his job where the sun doesn’t shine”.

While the publication could not reach the actress for comment, an equally weary Vundla apparently merely said: “All that needs to be said on this subject has been said already.”
