Elite Model Look is the world’s largest and most renowned international modelling contest. It was responsible for discovering top models such as Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour and Gisele Bündchen.
Nine local models took part in the gruelling contest for a chance at being selected as South Africa’s representative.
Former Miss Universe Leila Lopes and Expresso’s Ewan Strydom hosted the Elite Model Look event.
The headline act was none other than duo LCNVL with local pop star Toya DeLazy opening the evening and Angolan singer Sandra Da Silva Cordeiro and Kuduro Francisco Alexandre performing.
The finalists were dressed in Thula Sindi’s ready-to-wear range, which the designer said was “inspired by blue, black, pink and contemporary African prints to make the models stand out as Africans”, City Press reports.
Rentzker won a modelling contract with Da Banda Model Management.
She will also represent South Africa at the prestigious Elite Model Look World Final which is being held in China.
