Award-winning gospel musician Tumishang Makweya, popularly known as Dr Tumi, has announced features for his upcoming album, “Love On The Cross”. In a series of social media posts on Tuesday, he shared with his followers the list of musicians he partnered with, leaving them with much anticipation for this year’s instalment of his Gathering of Worshippers concert later this year.
The album will be out in mid-August and the concert is scheduled to take place in October. VIP tickets of the concert were sold out within hours of their release.
Dr Tumi announced that he had featured the Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo.
The youth choir received a standing ovation from the judges at America’s Got Talent last month after singing Vicky Sampson’s African Dream. Apart from their beautiful voices, their colourful outfits and ability to “transport people” to where they were from were reasons they received a standing ovation.
The musician said he had also written a “happy” song that he featured rapper Khuli Chana on.
“It will leave you feeling all kinds of excited and stirred up,” he said.
He will also bring his wife, Kgaogelo Makweya, the Jaziel Brothers, and American musicians Kirk Whalum and Pastor Jason Nelson.
