According to a report, it may be tricky to prove the assault charges against Mafokate.

Songstress Busisiwe ‘Cici’ Twala has reportedly demanded that her former boyfriend Arthur Mafokate be further charged with negligence and reckless driving.
The Sunday World reports that Mafokate could see his legal woes piling up after the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Friday asked the investigating offer to conduct further investigations in order to establish the possibility of adding the charge.
Mafokate faces charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm laid by the R&B singer who alleged the kwaito star and record label owner dragged her with his car and broke her pelvic bones when she fell to the ground.
“The accused has not yet pleaded to the charge before him so nothing stops the NPA from adding further charges to the charge sheet,” said NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana.
She said once the investigation was completed and the public prosecuting body was satisfied with new information received, they would add further charges to Mafokate’s rap sheet.
A law enforcement agent who spoke to Sunday World on condition of anonymity said the NPA would agree to add the negligence and reckless driving charge because the assault case against Mafokate might not stick.
Twala and Mafokate both refused to comment to the paper when approached for comment. The case was postponed to September 20 for mediation.
Cici is also expected to appear in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for assault after Mafokate alleged she hit him with a chair during the said altercation.
