Christmas comes early on Netflix: Holiday movies to stream

There is no shortage of wholesome family viewing from November.

Whether it’s Bony M’s Little Drummer Boy playing in Shoprite, Mariah Carey’s White Christmas album on repeat in Edgars or Luther Vandross urging you to kiss somebody to his Mistletoe Jam, the signs are there that the festive season is again upon us.

Storefronts have started being decked out with the latest variety of baubles, trinkets and trees and kids are already gravitating towards them like deer caught in the headlights of a car.

And speaking of kids and variety, parents will soon be pulling their hair out to keep the little ones entertained over the December break.

Luckily Christmas has come early on Netflix as the streaming giant has released a massive menu of festive film fun for adults and kids alike.

From Kristin Davis (Sex and the City) and Rob Lowe (View from the Top) saving elephants in Zambia to super monsters trying to save Christmas and a medieval knight zapped into modern times by an evil sorceress – there’s no shortage of wholesome family viewing from November.

After nursing the animal back to health, Kate decides to spend Christmas in the wilds.

The Knight Before Christmas

Super Monsters Save Christmas

Picture: Netflix

• Starts on November 26

In this colourful animated series, which kids will love, the super monsters are joining forces to deck the halls, find Santa’s missing reindeer and save the holiday!

Kids may remember the monsters from last year’s Super Monsters Save Halloween.

True: Winter Wishes

Picture: Netflix

• Starts on November 26

Everyone in the Rainbow Kingdom is gathered to celebrate Winter Wish Fest, but when the extremely mean Forever Frost escapes from the Ice Kingdom, the special day and fun activities might be ruined.
