‘Central Intelligence’: Perfect blend of muscles and humour

Muscles combine with brains to combat political corruption.

What are the first words that pop into your mind when you hear the name Kevin Hart? Motor mouth? Incessant, cruel jokes? A high-pitched voice? Bulging, rolling eyes and slapstick attempts at humour? Well, that’s what made him popular and it’s in Central Intelligence in abundance.

Now. When you hear the name Dwayne Johnson, what are your observations? Macho yet comfortable under all those overwrought muscles, a sense of humour, a calm exterior but a will of steel, acting talent and massive shoulders? Those elements are also evident here, but strangely enough, they blend in with Hart’s frenetic style. So, you’ll like Central Intelligence.

Every bone in your movie body warns you against it, as there will be a thin story, lots of wisecracks and a far-fetched plot that combines the talents of a nerdish accountant with the persona of a muscle man to counter-act political corruption. This movie might go down well with over-priced snacks after you have survived the crowds at the concession stands. Popcorn!
