Zodwa Wabantu: I’m a role model to a lot of people
Zodwa Wabantu says behind the revealing dresses, there is a woman who knows where she is going.
Zodwa Wabantu is the personality associated with the dance trend.
Zodwa Wabantu of Eyadini Lounge fame has come out to defend herself from the criticism she received after her Durban July dress at the weekend. Speaking to the Daily Sun, Zodwa Wabantu said even though people called her a “prostitute” and compared her thighs to that of a chicken, she would not allow the negative comments to break her.
“I am a role model for a lot of people. People are able to face their challenges because of the example I set,” she was quoted as saying by the tabloid on Thursday.
Zodwa said what people did not know was that behind those short dresses and the dancing was a woman who had brains. She further revealed she had been given an opportunity to be a brand ambassador for an energy drink. The two parties had been negotiating for some time and had now reached an agreement.
Zodwa Wabantu received backlash on Saturday after pictures of her wearing a revealing black dress surfaced on social media. From the pictures, one could tell Zodwa was not wearing underwear, leaving social media users unimpressed.
No worry in the world for #ZodwaWabantu 😍💯 #VLHH
