Zizo, Black Coffee and Lerato make headlines
Here is a recap of what happened in celebville this past weekend.
We know President Jacob Zuma owned this past weekend when he reappointed Pravin Gordhan as minister of finance. Nothing is unusual about appointing ministers, this one just takes the trophy as Gordhan replaced David van Rooyen who was only appointed on Wednesday, while people were still recovering from Nhlanhla Nene’s removal.
Anyway, as the political world took a knock, celebville also had drama of its own, as usual.
Let’s start with the good news first: Zizo Beda finally tied the knot with long time partner Mayihlome Tshwete. From the pictures shared on Instagram by Malusi Gigaba’s wife Noma, we can tell the wedding was beautiful. The traditional outfit takes the trophy. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Tshwete, we wish you all the best!

DJ Shimza dumps DJ Black Coffee
Trouble never seems to leave Black Coffee’s side, especially with his latest album Pieces of Me. Fist it was accusations of being a copycat when his album cover and title came out the same as American artist Ledisi. And then we thought things were back to normal when the album went platinum.
What we did not know is that the same album would tear apart his relationship with DJ Shimza, whom he had signed under his record label Soulistic Music. Speaking to SundayWorld, Shimza said Coffee has never mentioned his album since its release. Coffee is being accused of signing Shimza to “clip his wings so he could enjoy the limelight alone”. Well, whatever is happening between the two, we hope things work out for the best.
Masondo’s family fights over estate
It hasn’t been that long since David Masondo’s death and already his son and widow are fighting over his house. His son, believed to be more than 30 years old, is fighting his late father’s widow, not his mother, over rent money paid by tenants who live in Masondo’s Soweto mansion. Reports say both parties want the tenants to pay rent to them, to ‘solve’ the dispute, tenants have been given three months to vacate the house so it can be sold.
Lerato Mvelase is now a sangoma
Lerato, Home Affairs and The Road actress has answered a call from her ancestors to become a sangoma. According to the SundayWorld, Mvelase was welcomed back from her three-month long initiation at her home in Diepkloof on Sunday.

Well, not only do her fans notice her sense of style, Bonang ‘Queen B’ Matheba was recognised when she won Female Continental Style & Fashion Influencer Of The Year Award at the 2015 Abryanz Style And Fashion Awards which were held in Uganda on Saturday night.
