After being very hush about their relationship and that they are expecting a little bundle of joy, popular musician Zakes Bantwini and his lady Nandy Mngoma finally let the public in on their beautiful relationship, and recently their marriage.
Mngoma, now Madida, made the news of their pregnancy public knowledge last night when she walked onto the ramp at the opening of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week that also marked the launch of her fashion range, Colour. The TV presenter and model looked gorgeous on the ramp at the #MBFWJ16 , as the crowd cheered while she showed off her baby bump.

Being the ever-so-private celebrity, Bantwini took to social media to explain the sudden display of their love life and somewhat private matters. “More than 3 years ago of being in a relationship my wife and I decided to make our relationship private and not make a career out of our relationship. As excited as we have been about certain things, as Africans by culture we wait until the right time to divulge such sensitive news as a pregnancy. But unfortunately we had been robbed of such privilege by us being public figures,” he wrote on Instagram, explaining that they decided to spill the beans on their terms.
“We decided to make the news official yesterday on our own terms than feeling pressure to succumb to speculation and rumours about our lives.” Bantwini further urged Mzansi to allow him and his wife some privacy, now that they have shared their big news. “Now that we’ve cleared the air, myself and my beautiful wife ask that we be given some privacy and respect to continue to enjoy this new chapter in our lives together,” he pleaded.
The award-winning muso further went on to elaborate that today he stands as a very blessed man with a lot to celebrate. “I have so much to celebrate, my new single #Amantombazane, my album #LOVELIGHTANDMUSIC2 I’m working on, my marriage, Our pregnancy, God has truly blessed me this year,” he went on, adding that he and Nandi wouldn’t be this far today without their “amazingly supportive parents and family” who have been their rocks and pillars, and continuously wished they well.
