Zahara’s album goes gold within 24 hours of release
The award-winning singer, Zahara has finally released her most anticipated album, Mgodi and it's selling like hotcakes.
The album came out on Friday and already it has been certified gold within six hours of its release.
Warner Music South Africa’s marketing director, Adrian King confirmed to TshisaLIVE that the album sold over 16,700 physical copies and hundreds of digital copies within the first 24 hours of its release.
The singer was reportedly very excited about the news, she thanked her fans for their loyal support despite her public scrutiny.
Zahara told the publication that she celebrated her achievement by inviting some of her dedicated fans, called the Zahara Army, to her house to spend time with her.
The singer will embark on a nationwide tour, before heading to America early next year to promote her album.
