Hashtags #FillUpOrlandoStadium and #JustBuyATicketBroer have been trending in Johannesburg following Cassper Nyovest’s ruthless response to AKA’s offer to Fill Up Orlando Stadium with him.
In a series of tweets, AKA on Friday said he respected Cassper’s dream of filling up the 75 000-capacity stadium, and offered his partnership on the gig.
He said instead of being a Cassper show, each guy would be on either side of the stadium, “on a crazy LED cube or whatever and go back to back”.
AKA said the two did not have to be friends, all they needed to do was finally get over their beef and work together on this one project to make money.
But Cassper is not having any of it, telling AKA the only way he could support him was through buying a ticket, just like everyone else.
“Lol, just buy a ticket to #FillUpOrlandoStadium broer,”said Cassper, whose response trended on Twitter, with most asking AKA: “Yena aya kwini (where was he going)?”
“Lol… Y’all still arguing about why this and that and what what, gwa Sha gwa tima. Look man, we’re now 21 days from #FillUpFnbStadium and we need all the support we can get. The simplest way to support the initiative is to buy a ticket. It’s simple man, #JustBuyATickectBroer.
“Everyone can share the moment. Everybody is invited. There’s nobody who’s not allowed at the show. The plans of what’s gonna happen on stage have been confirmed though. If anyone wants to participate then they can buy a ticket. We appreciate all the support. #JustBuyATicketBroer,” said Cassper.
In Setswana, he said “these people” wanted to eat without hunting, adding that his concert on December 2 was not about making money, contrary to what AKA believed.
In fact, Cassper said he was selling his cars to make this happen as he was still struggling to get sponsors.
Others, however, believed this was a publicity stunt to try and increase the ticket sales.
