The “Black and Yellow” rapper was flying from El Paso to Dallas when TSA officials discovered a “green leafy substance” in his bags, according to TMZ.
The rapper was reportedly in possession of 0.5 grams of weed, but clearly was not concerned with the charges as he posted two ‘jail-selfies’.
He accompanied the photo from the inside with the caption ‘Free Trap Wiz,’ which has quickly landed itself hashtag status thanks to his devoted fans.
The rapper, who posted a minute by minute commentary during his time behind bars, was released only a few hours later and posted a Twitter photo of himself boarding a private jet, stating ‘Y’all freed me’.
Khalifa is the latest rapper to be billed for the upcoming Castle Lite Extra Cold Music Concert Edition in June, joining award-winning producer Timbaland and rapper Nas with his Illmatic Orchestra.
