Zodwa Rebecca Libram, popularly known as Zodwa Wabantu, is usually in the headlines for the very same thing – dancing with the bare minimum of clothes at public events – a wardrobe choice that saw her being denied entry into Lesotho in August where she was billed to headline a festival, which ended up being cancelled.
While South Africans woke up to shattering news about the passing of author and activist Zoleka Mandela, they also had to deal with a video of Zodwa Wabantu proudly being explicit on her Instagram timeline.
In the video she shared, Zodwa was scantily dressed, lying on her back with her legs apart, exposing herself.
She captioned her video: “Vula Kuvaliwe. How many of you have entered here? Mina Ngihlanganaphi nokuthi Ucabangani Ngami?” which translates to “I open where it is closed. How many of you have entered here? How is what you think of me my concern?”

Zodwa’s daring video has received mixed reactions from fans and followers, with many annoyed by it.
In a January 2022 interview with IOL, Zodwa said she believed she had a spiritual calling but maintained she was not a traditional healer (sangoma).
“I have recently accepted a calling but this is a different kind of ubizo [calling]. I’m not a sangoma,” she told the publication.
Zodwa claims she has a special spiritual calling, so people should expect her to behave in a way that respects this belief.
But there’s something important to know about Zodwa: she does not pay attention to what other people think about her, and she confidently states this in many of her social media posts.
Just last week, she once again shared a photo on her Instagram where she was dancing without clothes in public, and people were taking pictures of her.
She captioned that post “Open Happy Monday😍 Be Focused as the Guy😂”
