WATCH: Minki van der Westhuizen’s eight-year-old daughter gives her a makeover

Watch out Willem Botha, here comes Minki van der Westhuizen’s eldest, SA’s next best celeb makeup artist.

Minki van der Westhuizen’s daughter, Katerien, recently did her mother’s makeup and she’s a natural – from using the correct shades to making small talk.

Seemingly following in her mother’s footsteps of being in the limelight, Minki’s eight-year-old daughter showcases her makeup skills in a cute mom-daughter makeup tutorial.

t is apparently her third time doing Minki’s makeup and she says that apart from becoming a professional makeup artist one day, she also wants to become a singer.

In the tutorial featuring products from Catrice, Minki sits patiently, indulging in the moment while Katerien seems quite confident in what she’s doing.

Minki’s daughter is full of compliments for her when they speak about the busy morning they’ve had, saying she did not even notice that her mother wasn’t wearing makeup.

Then comes the young makeup artist’s favourite – Catrice’s More Than Glow highlighter.

She adds a little under her mother’s eyes so that “you don’t see the blue spots” and Minki simply reacts by saying: “Interesting.”

Then comes blush, coupled with a visit from Katerien’s little sister, Elsa, 3, and a quick moment of mothering. And, mascara for volume and length – one of the few things the little artist still needs to master.

Katerien practises her colouring skills with a plumping lipliner, adding a pop of colour to her mother’s lips and then, for the final touch, she adds mom Minki’s favourite lip gloss.

One thing is for sure: Like mother, like daughter.
