Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema can now add DJ to his repertoire after his appearance at Konka club in Soweto over the weekend.
Malema’s appeal to the youth just broadened after he was added to Konka’s Sunday line-up with the likes of Uncle Vinny and Uncle Waffles.
Konka has become synonymous as the premium spot for top DJ performances and drinks – a multimillionaires playground and a perfect place for day and night time vibes.

The EFF leader made an appearance for socialite Babalwa “Barbz” Mneno’s birthday, who is a proud supporter of the party.
Malema even wished her a happy birthday last week and hinted at his performance on Twitter.
He wrote: “Happy birthday my beautiful sister @barbiliscious. I celebrate you every day because your bravery is a special one, and it has always been like that even when it was not fashionable to do so. I hope you had a nice one; let’s KONKA them on Sunday.”
Malema’s DJ set impressed some but others weren’t convinced by his technique. Tweeps also wondered why the political leader needed to do this, adding that it could hurt his reputation.
Twitter user El Fuego tweeted: “I hate this thing of Twitter not wanting politicians to be real people and equating them having fun to being horrible at their jobs. How does Malema DJing at Konka make him a bad president?”
In September, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize’s son, Andile Mpisane, was spotted arriving in style at Konka. He arrived in a blue Rolls-Royce that turned many heads, wearing Gucci from head to toe.
