The former minister is upping her skincare game!

Former social development minister Bathabile Dlamini wants to age like fine wine — of course, with a little help from modern science.

The former minister’s doctor, Dr Sandi Dyonase, recently shared a video of her receiving anti-ageing injections.

In the clip, Dlamini is relaxed and chatting as the doctor works his magic on her skin.

According to Dr Sandi, the treatment involves anti-ageing, wrinkle-relaxing injections designed to deliver a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

Bathabile Dlamini’s video sparked mixed reactions

Dlamini‘s video has since gone viral on TikTok, with more than 100 000 views on Thursday, 10 April.

In the comments section, some netizens applauded the former minister for taking care of her skin, while others offered unsolicited advice, suggesting she lay off the alcohol, referencing long-standing rumours about her alleged drinking habits.

“Angaphinde asele utywala [She must never drink alcohol again]”, one comment read.

However, Dr Sandi addressed the reactions, stating that Dlamini does not drink alcohol but struggles with epilepsy.

“Out of respect for Mama Bathabile, I would like to gently correct the misconception. She does not drink alcohol. Her behaviour is often misunderstood due to her battle with epilepsy, which required her to adjust her medication.

“This condition can be challenging and is often mistaken for something it is not. Please, let’s show kindness.”
