South Africa’s director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus, divides opinion globally because of his approach to the game of rugby, but after South Africa’s back-to-back World Cup triumph, Rassie was celebrated by his team and Princess of Monaco Charlene.
The Springboks edged New Zealand 12-11 in an incredible and tense Rugby World Cup final at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. It was a record fourth Webb Ellis Cup for South Africa.
In an intimate moment in the Boks changing room, the whole Springbok squad huddled in a circle, sang for the former Bok head coach, which Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were also part of. Princess Charlene is a South African, who represented the country at the Olympics in swimming.

The royal couple was in attendance at the final in Stade de France on Saturday where the Princess showed some public display of affection to her hubby.
As reported by the Daily Mail the 45 year-old was spotted cheering and hugging Prince Albert as he congratulated his wife on the South African win against the All Blacks.
The rare public display of affection follows months of speculation about the state of the royal couple’s marriage.
Speaking to News24 before her return last month, the princess, who shares twins Jacques and Gabriella with Prince Albert, said: “I find the rumours [about my marriage] tiring and exhausting.”
Princess Charlene also attended last week’s semifinal between the Boks and England. Charlene was snapped cheering and hugging a friend as she attended the Rugby World Cup match with her husband.
Tennis legend Roger Federer was also lucky enough to get access into the Springbok dressing room, sharing photo opportunities with some of the players. Federer’s connection to Mzansi is through his mother, Lynette Federer who is South African.
In a video circulating on social media, Springbok scrumhalf Faf De Klerk is seen holding a beer while chatting to Federer, wearing nothing but his infamous SA flag underwear he popularised after the Boks won the World Cup in 2019.
