Over the past 9 years, The Sbusiso Leope Education Foundation popularly known as SLEF, hosts annual bursary drives to fundraise for students’ tertiary tuition. This year, SLEF will host its first annual Bursary Drive Concert taking place this Sunday, 7 February 2016, at Dries Niemandt Park from 10am till 10pm. Entrance fee is R120 for general access and R1000 for VIP, with 100% of all proceeds going towards students’ tertiary tuition.
“The SLEF aims at meeting the needs of disadvantaged learners through educational assistance,” says DJ Sbu. “We give talks in high schools, run mentorship and feeding scheme programmes, as well as run yearly bursary campaigns to assist students, with the help of willing and able individuals and companies”. SA’s top artists and personalities have come on board to feature and perform at the event at no cost, all in the name of education.
On Friday Morning, DJ Sbu took to the streets of Joburg to sell MoFaya in an attempt to raise funds for the concert.
All proceeds from the concert go to the bursary drive.
