More’s Facebook fan page posted an announcement about his death. “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our brother…. Lesley More. Les brought joy and laughter to millions and was a great inspiration to all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. Prayers go to his family, friends, fans and colleagues at this time. May his soul rest in peace.”

Prominent musicians and fans sent out their condolences via social media.

Popular artist, Mafiikizolo tweeted saying: “It is with great sadness to inform you that our brother, our friend, a family member ‘Les Moore’ of Alaska passed away this morning. Friday..”

The exact cause of More’s death is unknown, Sunday World reports.
