Movie success

Earlier this month according to multiple reports, Creed III is the first sports movie ever to pass $100 million at the global box office in its opening weekend.

In this ninth film in the “Rocky” franchise — the first without Sylvester Stallone in the Rocky Balboa role he created — Creed comes out of retirement for a dramatic showdown against an old friend played by Jonathan Majors.

Starring in a Marvel film is mostly granted success. Majors also played the villain in Marvel and Disney’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which also ranked high at the box office, with over $450 million in global earnings.

At one point Majors movies were in the top two at the box office in March.
