Tributes have poured in for world-renowned comedian Trevor Noah with news that he has been nominated to win a Grammy award.
The comedian has been nominated for a Grammy award in the category of Best Comedy Album. The nomination was for his stand up special Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia and he will be contending against the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Dave Chappelle, among others.
The world-renowned comedian, who presented an award last year at the Grammys in New York, said he was grateful for the nomination.

Jim Gaffigan – Quality Time
Ellen DeGeneres – Relatable
Aziz Ansari – Right Now
Trevor Noah – Son of Patricia
The awards will be hosted by Grammy-winner Alicia Keys on January 25, 2020.
