Trevor Noah undergoes emergency operation
Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday morning.
Trevor Noah’s first show The Daily Show has received rave reviews.
As a result, an encore episode was aired on Wednesday. Comedy Central however said the South African comedian is recuperating in hospital as the procedure went well. The network continues to express hope as they expect The Daily Show host to return to work on Thursday.
Noah will be heading back to South Africa for his next tour NationWild, which will be featured on the Comedy Central International Comedy Festival this month month.
The annual comedy extravaganza will see African and international comedy stars together under one roof. Noah, fresh from his hosting duties at The Daily Show, will kick off the festival with gala performances of his upcoming SA tour, NationWild, at The Globe (26-28 November) at Silverstar Casino in Johannesburg.
The festival starts November 26 and ends December, 5.
