It seems not even the sky can limit South African export Trevor Noah who is continually making history while pursuing his dream.
The South African comedian, who is currently on his Off The Record Tour achieved what no funnyman has ever achieved before in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He sold out the Coca-Cola Arena.
The arena opened in June 2019, and has a capacity of 17 000. Located in the City Walk area in Dubai, it is used for events including concerts, sport, family entertainment and ceremonies.

Taking to X on Thursday afternoon, Noah reminisced about his previous show in Dubai, about 10 years ago, telling the crowd that only 400 people attended that performance.
“Dubai and everyone who came from around the UAE. It’s hard to believe that over a decade ago I was performing to 400 people at my first show in Dubai and now finding out I was blessed to be the first comedian ever to sell out the Coca Cola arena! Thank you doesn’t always capture the full gratitude I have for the love you’ve showed me on this journey but please believe every time I get on stage, I’ll do my utmost to make it one of the best shows you’ve ever seen. Shukran forever and I’ll see you next time!” he wrote.
Several attendees took to Noah’s Instagram post, where he also posted pictures of his historical event, to comment on his performance.
“We laughed our hearts out! We drove from AbuDhabi and was so worth it! Still laughing,” commented Simmy Mathew-Anklesaria.
Yann Woisson thanked Trevor for an amazing show.
“As a French, working for a German company and selling British products I laughed a lot about people accents and behaviour. You are an extraordinary instant capture moment person, able to reproduce and explain situations that you lived or heard about. Next step is Trevor President of SA,” Woisson commented.
Ruba AlSawalhi said that the show was worth every second of traffic Trevor created.
“It was worth every second of traffic you created all around Dubai 😂 thank you for making us laugh our hearts out.”
The comedian’s next show is taking place in Richmond, Virgina at the Altria Theatre on Friday and he will performing a second show at the same venue on Saturday.
From there he will travel to New York, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis and Chicago before he heads to the UK.
