Thembi Seete and Bo split up after 10 years together

We were still recovering from the news that Melanie and Zwai Bala’s marriage of nine years was coming to an end, when Thembi shocked fans by confirming she was single.

The musician and actress says she and Bo split over a year ago!

“I have been single for a year and a few months,” she said on her Massiv Metro radio show.

Thembi and Bo were together more than a decade, and were even engaged at one stage.

We should have known something was up when she revealed to True Love magazine last year that she was in no rush to walk down the aisle.

“I delayed setting a wedding date because I’ve realised that marriage isn’t about the wedding ceremony or a ring on my finger, it’s about the connection you build with your partner. It was obviously awkward at first to have the conversation with Bo that I didn’t want to get married too soon after getting engaged,” she told the magazine.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Thembi says she has moved on and is seeing someone else.

“A few months ago, I met someone. I have been dating and going on dates but I think there is something brewing, something amazing, that is going to come up with this one person.

As for why she remained silent about the split for so long, Thembi says she has a private life, and doesn’t like talking about her personal affairs.

“That part of my life is very sacred and very precious to me and I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t think it is fair to talk about my relationships or my partners if they are not around to speak for themselves,” she told the publication.
