The late celebrity chef, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane‘s mother has reportedly passed away.
Tibz was killed alongside multi-award winning rapper AKA in February. The long-time friends were gunned down outside a popular restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road.
According to Zimoja, Tibz’s mother, Ryhab Niniwe Motsoane, died on 5 October, and was buried this past weekend.
The publication claims that Tibz’s mother’s health deteriorated after his untimely passing.
“You can imagine the void he left after he was brutally murdered… her health took a dive. She has been reunited with her beloved son. It is sad for us as friends and family,” a source was quoted by the publication.

A few weeks ago, KZN police shared in a media briefing that they have identified the suspects who killed the pair.
KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi told the SABC that arrests will be made once a solid case is built.
Tibz was laid to rest on 16 February at Sacred Heart College in Observatory, Johannesburg. In a statement in February, his family expressed gratitude for the love and support.
“The Motsoane family are deeply moved by the national outpouring of love and support over the past few days… To us, Tebello was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. To many, he was Tibz Wa Bantwana, Chief of Cool, Summer Time Cool Creator, K1 K9, and many other names of affection.
“Our son was loved, and he gave love in return. As we come to terms with the devastating truth that our only son is no longer with us, we appeal for your compassion, space, and time to congregate as a family to decide on the upcoming days.”
