Mokoena, who was the host of Fear Factor and the runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing, plays the part of S’duduzo Sihlahlain in the new DSTV show.
Kota Life Crisis tells the story of half-siblings Themba, Voni and S’duduzo Sihlahla, who inherit their father’s house and the adjacent spaza shop.
Looking ahead to the pilot Mokoena told The Daily Sun, “This is the first solid sitcom that I have been part of and this makes it an interesting contribution for me.
“There isn’t much of a difference between my character and I because we are both ambitious. He wants to keep the family business going and I can relate to that.”
The series premieres on Mzansi Magic on Tuesday 7 January, at 19h30.
