Teko Modise and fiancée Lizelle bury the hatchet
Teko Modise and Lizelle Tabane have reportedly reconciled, this after recent reports claimed that the Sundowns midfielder had demanded a refund on the lobola he paid for his fiancée.

The Daily Sun last week reported that an upset Modise sent a delegation of elders to his bride-to-be’s family to ask if he could get the R20 000 he paid for her back.
According to the newspaper, the couple had a heated argument three days after the soccer star proposed, apparently over allegations that Tabane was cheating on Modise with a big-shot executive at whose house she reportedly sought comfort directly afterwards. The latest rumours claim that “Lizelle suffered serious injuries” during the argument.
The Tabane’s, somewhat offended by Modise’s emissaries, snubbed the request for a refund, arguing that such a request was culturally without precedent. The families, however, agreed to have a follow-up meeting with the warring couple present, and it’s after this get-together that the two apparently buried the hatchet.
“After they agreed to forgive each other, Lizelle’s uncles promised to deliver her to her future husband’s home during the week when Teko returned from a game in Cape Town,” a family insider told the newspaper.
Modise started dating Tabane after divorcing his wife Felicia in 2011. She has been romantically linked with former ANC youth leader Julius Malema and married businessman George Leshaba.
