Sophie Ndaba secretly weds third husband in Italy

Actress Sophie Ndaba has reportedly found love in the arms of businessman Max Lichaba, and secretly eloped last month.

Sunday World reports that Sophie and Max jetted off to Italy where they cemented their romance. The lovebirds then flew to France for their honeymoon.

Apparently the couple formalised things traditionally a few months ago when Max’s relatives met with Sophie’s family to pay lobola. The actress apparently confirmed the exciting news to the publication.

A few days ago Sowetan reported that Max also confirmed that they were together, but was shy to divulge any details of their romance.

“Yes, we are together. We only want to talk about the foundation right now, but I can confirm we are together,” he said.

The paper also claimed that staff members at Max’s famous pub, Kwa-Lichaba Pub in Orlando West, said that they already referred to the actress as Sophie Lichaba.

This is Sophie’s third marriage; she was previously married to actor Themba Ndaba and then to controversial clergyman Bishop Keith Harrington.

Sophie split from Keith in 2013, and it became a nasty public spat as the two obtained protection orders against each other.

“He constantly accused me of cheating on him while he was verbally aggressive towards me. He insulted, humiliated and threatened to kill me with his gun as he forcefully took my phone,” Sophie told City Press last year.

Keith claimed that Sophie verbally and emotionally abused him on social media.
