The actress-and-model is the highest-paid TV actress in America and made an estimated $30 million last year, partly from endorsement deals with Diet Pepsi, CoverGirl and Kmart.
Despite her success, Sofia who portrays Gloria Pritchett in comedy series ‘Modern Family’ still has a lot of business ideas and is always looking ahead to the future.
She said: ”I’m not ashamed to say I love making money. I like business, and the truth is I save way more than I spend. I invest. I plan for the future. I have a special eye for opportunities and work harder than anyone might expect. It is fun to shock people with my business ideas. Most people just see me as Gloria.”
And the 40-year-old beauty who has a 21-year-old son, Manolo, from her marriage to Joe Gonzalez, and is engaged to Nick Loeb admits she likes to capitalise on the fact people expect her to be a ”bimbo” because of her good looks.
She told Glam Belleza Latina magazine: ”I think that the concept of being sexy and smart is difficult for many to grasp,” she says. ”Most people are more comfortable with the notion of ‘sexy bimbo.’ And I have to admit that I’ve capitalised on that to negotiate a couple of times, when the ‘smart ones’ think I have no idea what I can deliver, and I end up costing them more.”
