Somizi Mhlongo has finally broken his silence on those who have been repeatedly criticising his fiancé Mohale Motaung for apparently not showing enough love to Somizi. South Africans took to social media last week to voice their opinion on the couple, with most saying Somizi was the only one making all the effort to make the relationship work.
The couple had been mum on the comments, until now, after Instagram user Bureni explained to Somizi that people were not jealous of their relationship.
Somizi posted a funny video of a couple getting married and captioned it “open letter to jealous b*tches”.
In response, Bureni said: “The people are not jealous, they only think Mohale is way too cold for someone whose level of excitement for marriage should be high.”
Somizi hit back at his fiance’s critics and said they had no right to make conclusions on their relationship when they had never lived with him nor shared a bed with him.
He said: “I’ve been quiet for way too long about how I feel about people who are not even our friends and family already assuming and dictating how my fiancé should love me and should react to certain things.
“All of you saying such. You don’t sleep next to me. You don’t wake up next to me. You don’t know how moody and cranky I become. You have never smelled my morning breath. Have you ever wondered why I was attracted to him in the first place? Have you ever thought how I would never date my duplicate?
“How we are completely different people and personalities. How his calm demeanour turns me on. Have you ever considered the fact that I’m older and wise enough to know when I’m not truly loved? Have you ever? But anyway qubekani.
“And most of you who are busy saying about him would not hesitate taking his place should the opportunity arise. Because you never think that someone like him can love someone like me genuinely. You always place material gains in everything. And even if that was the reason so what. Am I complaining? You’re busy saying he’s using me for money. Hayi suka niyakhathaza.”
