Smitten Swazi man offers lobola for Zahara
A musician from Swaziland believes it's his destiny to marry popular South African singer Zahara, for whose hand he has offered to pay a sizeable lobola.

According to the Daily Sun, 32-year-old Sifisiso Simelane owns all of Zahara’s music and has spent some R30 000 following her as she tours around the continent, making an effort to always look his best in the hopes that her management will one day allow him access to her.
“I always find out when her concerts are so I can go,” he revealed.
“I listen to her music wherever I go and I keep her latest CD under my pillow at night.”
A successful singer whose album has sold more than 13 000 copies and who in 2012 won a South African Traditional Music Achievement award, Sifisiso believes it was God who whispered “That is your wife” when he saw the 25-year-old songbird on television for the first time.
“I dream about her having my children and living a quiet life in Swaziland with me. I have stopped living my own life. My mind is always working on ways to get her attention,” said the love-sick Sifisiso.
He added that he has the blessing of his family, who “see I’m determined to carry her guitar one day and they have given me 15 cows to pay for lobola”.
The response from both Zahara and her management wasn’t very encouraging though, with the songbird’s TK Nciza saying that poor smitten Sifisiso is unfortunately not special.
“Zahara has an 11-show tour coming up and we have many people just like him who follow her around the country,” he said.
“But as far as marrying her? All I can say is: good luck, Sifiso!”
Zahara responded by saying that she’s much too busy promoting her new album to “commit myself to any relationship”.
