Popular Isibaya actor has been announced as the new voice of Ukhozi FM.
The station announced this during the Vuka Mzansi breakfast show. Thwala, who is well loved by the fans of his soapie, Isibaya, had this to say in a comment posted on the stations website, about his new job:
“I am a proud Zulu man; I hold my language and my family background very dear. I, like many isiZulu speaking and understanding South Africans, grew up listening to UKhozi FM, my acting career was influenced by the dramas I grew up listening to on this very station, I am now going to be relating it’s messages on.”
Thwala will be doing all the station’s promotions, imaging and jingles. The station has reportedly been looking for a new voice for the past three years. Mandla Magawaza,Technical Producer and On Air Personality, has been the voice of the station.
Thwala will be heard by Ukhozi FM’s 7.7 million listeners. And without a doubt his well loved voice will reel in more.
