SA’s spiciest female stars on social media
These celebrities threw major shade at their haters.
Pearl Thusi.
South Africa is a proudly spicy nation. You need not look too far to see examples of our people’s special brand of sassiness; a few minutes on Twitter will reveal everything.
Among the many (many!) spicy individuals in this country are some of our biggest celebrities whose massive platforms only help them amplify the immensity of their clapbacks.
If you’re thinking of trolling or engaging any of the celebs in this list, you should do so at your own peril…
Lerato Kganyago
Lerato Kganyago and black Twitter have a complicated relationship, and the result of this has been a number of strong responses from the Live Amp presenter.
This time around, a user (with only 10 followers) described her dance moves as “stiff as f**k”.
Your BIO says you unemployed! That should be your priority here 🤷🏽♀️ https://t.co/9DlxCGI5zo

Unathi Msengana
Unathi Msengana doesn’t just deliver the clapbacks on Twitter, she dishes them out and serves them hot!
Although, once or twice in the past, her responses have landed her in trouble. However, in the incident below she actually made a troll apologise after offending her!
ThickLeeyonce
ThickLeeyonce’s levels of spice actually gained her international recognition in 2017 after her clapback against a fat-shamer went viral.
That wasn’t a one-off though – she never hesitates to put a troll in their place.

Pearl Thusi
You can’t talk about spicy social media celebrities without mentioning Pearl Thusi.
If the past has taught us anything, it’s that Pearl, despite being busy, always has the time to remind her haters who’s boss. In this instance, the presenter called out a photographer for publishing her photo without her permission.

The Mdoda sisters
Thembisa and Anele Mdoda take turns to hold the title of Mzansi’s “Shade Queens”.
They are both genuinely entertaining to follow on social media. But the moment someone tries to bring them down, they flip the script.

Bonnie Mbuli
Bonnie Mbuli is one of the most composed celebrities in the country, but she’s shown down the years that she’s not afraid to throw a little shade.
This tweet was (presumably) directed at Bonang Matheba’s vineyard saga.
I could be out here buying vineyards but I’m playing …

Gigi Lamayne
Gigi Lamayne is as spicy for her direct responses as she is for her subliminal tweets. The rapper seems to regularly take veiled shots towards some of her direct rivals in the industry.
Who do you suspect Gigi Lamayne was referring to with that "I write my own raps" line? 🤔
