Salamina and Tshepo ‘Howza’ Mosese’s surprise pregnancy announcement

Celebrity couple Salamina and Tshepo ‘Howza’ Mosese surprised fans of their 12-year marriage on Monday when they announced, through a Bona Magazine cover story that they were expecting their second child.

They have been bombarded with congratulatory messages ever since.

The pair will be one of two couples on two of the publication’s four covers. Bona usually prints issues in four different languages with a different picture of their cover stars on each issue, however, the publication has chosen to switch things up for the month of love by featuring two different couples on two issues. The Moseses will be appearing alongside the Vilakazi’s (Kwesta and Yolanda).

Salamina is a South African actress, model and television presenter from Zebediela, a small village in Limpopo, who cemented her career during the five years she spent working as a presenter on e.tv’s kids’ programming block CRAZe.

She went on to star in productions such as Backstage, Soul Buddyz, Top Billing, Soul City, Justice for All and the international feature film Beat the Drum after becoming an actress by accident. When she took her brother for an audition, she was asked to audition and landed a part.

She has since gone on to star in a number of television shows and films in addition to hosting numerous game shows all while obtaining a corporate communications degree from the University of Johannesburg (formerly RAU).

Her husband and former Backstage co-star, Howza, is a South African rapper, songwriter and actor who has guest appeared on shows such as Jam Alley, 7de Laan, Selimathunzi and YoTV.

He currently plays the role of Lerumo Chabedi on e.Tv’s flagship soapie Scandal!

The pair have also established themselves as unofficial experts on all things love and health for their fans who often look to them for advice. Salamina once suffered a stroke at the age of 30 while Howza has been open about living with diabetes. Salamina also often speaks about her battle with anxiety as well as chemical and emotional depression and how she manages to push through depressive episodes.

Don’t expect to see images of the couple’s baby once it arrives though. Salamina is one of the celebrities who chooses not to share images of their children’s faces in an effort to protect them from the world – a decision she made with their first child, Tumi. According to the media personality, people tend to post reckless comments targeted at children and she would rather not have that out there.
