It’s hard enough bagging a local magazine cover, let alone an international one, but these local celebs make it looks easy.
Some of South Africa’s biggest stars are in demand in other parts of the world and have made it onto the covers of magazines in Nigeria, France and America.
Here’s a look at some of their covers.
Bonang Matheba
South Africa’s media darling unveiled her new cover for Nigerian fashion magazine, Schick.
It’s not the first time Queen B has graced the cover of a magazine outside SA. She featured on the cover of TW magazine in 2016, alongside Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa.
Trevor Noah
South African comedian Trevor Noah has been doing amazing things since moving to New York to serve as host of The Daily Show. The 34-year-old has won numbers of international awards and graced one of the biggest magazine covers in the world. He appeared on the cover of Time magazine last year for the second time in five months!
He was named one of the prestigious magazine’s ‘Next Generation Leaders’, and bagged his first solo cover. He also featured on Time’s cover about the ‘seriously partisan politics of late night comedy’ with several other US comedians.

Singer and fashion designer Nandi Madida was the star of Glam Africa magazine’s September 2017.
The magazine main office is in the UK, but it is also sold in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. Nandi shot the cover during a work trip to France.
Minnie Dlamini
TV personality Minnie Dlamini bagged her first Nigerian cover in 2016.
She was Style Mania’s March cover star. She wore a Chidinma Obairi dress on the cover and looked amazing as usual.
