In this week’s royal update, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still seem to be rubbing their royal family members the wrong way as Queen Elizabeth assembles her legal team to take on Harry and Meghan over “attacks.”
The fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton broke up briefly, via a phone call while they were dating, also recently came to light.
Kate, Elizabeth and the late Diana’s “unusual” food habits were also revealed.
Although they are now amongst the most popular members of the royal family, William and Kate’s relationship has not always been perfect.
Before getting married in 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge broke up for a few months in 2007, and it has been revealed that the break-up happened over the phone.
Speaking to the Mirror, a former colleague of Kate’s said on the day of the break-up, Kate was seen pacing up and down the parking lot outside of their office, talking to her then-boyfriend, William.
“Around the middle of the day, she was pacing the car park outside the office on her mobile. A few people noticed because it’s a pretty unusual thing to do. She had deliberately gone outside to take the call because she didn’t want to be overheard,” said the colleague.
She said Kate looked very upset while on the call, and when the call was over, Kate returned to the office and disappeared for the rest of the day, not saying anything to anyone.
“When she came back to the office she didn’t say a thing and disappeared for the rest of the day – she hasn’t been back to work since…we didn’t think anything about it at that time, but looking back, the call was definitely a girlfriend-boyfriend tiff,” she said.
Days after the incident, it was made public that William and Kate had broken up.
Garlic is one of the most essential ingredients when it comes to cooking almost any meal. The royal family, however, would probably beg to disagree as they do not eat garlic.
The Queen is said to not like the taste, and during Camilla’s appearance on Masterchef Australia, she mentioned that “you always have to lay off the garlic”.
Elizabeth has also been on a low-carb diet for the majority of her life, and does not eat starches when she is dining alone. It has also been revealed that Her Majesty enjoys her bananas with a fork and knife.

During a visit at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2018, Kate told a four-year-old patient that she enjoyed snacking on olives, and has been doing so since she was a little girl.
Princess Charlotte seems to be walking in her mother’s footsteps as Kate previously revealed that she, too, enjoys snacking on olives.
Diana usually stuck to a low-carb, low-fat diet but occasionally mixed it up and indulged her fatty and carb-filled cravings.
Chef Darren McGrady, Diana’s chef, revealed the late princess enjoyed stuffed peppers and bread and butter pudding.
Speaking to the MailOnline, he shared how Princess Diana would come into the kitchen while he was cooking, and eat bits and pieces of the meals he was preparing for her.
Speaking to The Sun, a royal source revealed that Her Majesty was getting “lawyered up” in response to the hurtful repeated attacks from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“There is a limit to how much will be accepted and the Queen and royal family can only be pushed so far. They are getting lawyered up. Harry and Meghan will be made aware and know repeated attacks will not be tolerated,” said the source.
The royal family was taken aback when they found of that Harry was writing a tell-all memoir which is to be released next year.
A legal warning to the publishers of the memoir, Penguin Random House, is now being considered.
