RGB gets two new faces
After rumours started flying earlier this week that Pearl Thusi has resigned as host of 'The Real Goboza' (RGB), her departure from the entertainment magazine show has been officially announced.

“I absolutely loved my time on RGB. I have had an incredible journey and everyone at the show has been amazingly supportive with my decision to move on. I am not saying goodbye, just see you soon. I have so many great things going on at the moment that I had to make a tough decision on what to focus on. I feel that I’m leaving a stronger and better show,” the statement quotes Thusi.
The Sunday Sun on Monday reported that the actress and presenter resigned from the show because she doesn’t get along with executive producer Sydney Matlhaku, but “highly-placed sources” claim that she has been “down-playing their beef, saying she’s leaving because she has a lot on her plate”.
SABC1 has announced that Thusi is being replaced by So You Think You Can Dance host Sinazo Yolwa and actress Amanda Du Pont, who will co-host the show alongside Phat Joe Kambule, apparently to “provide the show with a wider variety and in-depth interviews”.
The last RGB episode with Thusi as host will air on Saturday, 9 November, before Yolwa and Du Pont make their first appearance on 16 November.
RGB airs on SABC 1 every Saturday at 18:00.
